Alloy chilled cast iron rolls produced by XTMC owing to the addition of the alloy elements of Ni, Cr, Mo, V etc. the Shell’s resistance to firecrack is effectively improved and together with the good wearability.
Alloy chilled double-poured nodular cast iron rolls are made by double pouring process which give the barrel a high hardness and the neck a high toughness so it exhibits better properties of thermal stability and resistance to accident, and are suitable for application in thin plate pack rolling and host medium plate rolling.
Generally alloy chilled cast iron rolls are also used at the finished stands of bar and wire – rod mills.
